meet Emily,
sometimes known as big red.
Emily has always been a performer by nature, she started dancing at the age of 3, and after her first recital on stage, she told her mother, “I love it up there.”
She gained confidence as a singer around the age of 16, driving around in her dad’s old Nissan Altima and singing along to the radio (and Glee, let’s be honest.) She booked her first leading role in a musical her junior year of high school, and felt that familiar feeling, she loved it “up there.” She went on to study musical theatre at university in 2012.
Emily has always been inspired by women with big voices on and off stage, Elaine Stritch is a personal muse, and singers like Kelly Clarkson and Joan Jett helped shape her vocal sound.
TV and film are also a passion of Emily’s. Her first TV role was on Law & Order SVU in 2022, and she loved it “up there” on the screen as well. Bringing her unique big voice to the screen is something Emily expects to be doing more of in the coming years.
When not auditioning, taking classes, staying up-to-date on movies, TV, and the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, you’ll find Emily running, drinking sugar free red bull, laughing with her friends, and shopping, eating, and drinking her way across Brooklyn, where she lives.
